The field May 11, 2012. Everything is green and lush and growing! The only Iris in bloom, is The Plains Iris (Iris lactea). There are a surprising number of daylily scapes appearing.

March 28, 2012. Daylilies are up and growing. Daffodils are budded up but not blooming yet.

March 20, 2012. The field is clear of snow! We are covering the old vegetable garden with black plastic to kill all the weeds we have accumulated in the past 25 years!

March 10, 2012 Spring tries again!

Snowdrops in mid February, that's a first!

There's a little snow on the field but it's melting fast and the air feels like spring!

Finally snow! While it means snow shoveling and all that, we can breath easier now  that the daylilies are protected under the snow.
